The Special Needs Education Assistance Program (S.N.E.A.P) is a way to help those individuals, Special individuals, parents of Special Needs Children and the teachers that work with these children. The S.N.E.A.P. Program provides funding (when available) to the above mentioned people that will allow the purchase of materials and supplies, and other needs, and in some cases food or fundraising food items that will help improve an individual's or Special Needs child/s education/learning, quality of life, and/or help that person or group to understand the importance of helping others thru giving.

Tax Exempt Status

Special Kid's Day, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. One area we are involved with is to assist in the goals and direction of the Special Kid's Day project.

To help us achieve this purpose, the Corporation was chartered by the State of Wisconsin as a non-profit organization. The I.R.S. has granted us Tax exempt status and The State of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing has designated us as a Charitable Organization.


There is no cost to be a part of this program. All eligible participants are defined below.

Who is eligible?

This program is open to: Special education students that are Cognitively Delayed and Disabled, and Handicapped (CD & D&H Students) in the following counties:

      • Barron
      • Buffalo
      • Chippewa
      • Clark
      • Dunn
      • Eau Claire
      • Evela-Strum
      • Mondovi
      • Rusk
      • Taylor County
      • Trempealeau

including students in:

      • elementary special education classes
      • middle school special education classes
      • high school special education classes

The following school districts are eligible for the Program:

      • Altoona
      • Augusta
      • Bloomer
      • Cadott
      • Chippewa Falls
      • Colfax
      • Cornell
      • Eau Claire
      • Gilman
      • Holcombe
      • Ladysmith
      • Menomonie
      • New Auburn
      • Stanley/Boyd
      • Thorp

Teachers, and teacher aides.


Gifts and/or donations are welcome.

Funding Sources

Start up money for this program will come from proceed of the summer brat fry fund raisers staffed by the Leuck family and close personal friends. Gifts from service clubs, businesses, and private donations are always welcome.

What is asked of the Students, Teachers, Aides, and Schools?

Remember, funding is limited.

Make sure that you have a true need that will be beneficial to one or more class members.

Be sure to exhaust all other resources.

Most important of all: make sure your request form is complete. It will be your responsibility to make sure that all information is provided. Incomplete forms will not be considered!

Qualifications for Funding Assistance?

  • Funds are available, only after all other resources have been exhausted.
  • Funds are available on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Funds must be used for a student, class of students, or a Fund Raising project by the students that will help them to learn about helping others in need.

Amount you can apply for:

Requests can be small. There is no limit as to the amount of funding you can request. Unreasonably large requests will be denied.

If your need is an annual need, you can request annual funding.

Annual funding, like one time regular funding, is filled on a first come, first served basis. Annual funding requests are filled each year before new funding requests are considered.
